Digitalisation of our power supply is one major key for the energy transition and climate neutrality. Our goal is to promote a carbon free future by creating a shared data space for innovative, data-driven business models as well as standardised, efficient data exchange. Within energy data-x we aim to build a future-proof data ecosystem connecting all market players digitally. By applying the European Gaia-X standards we guarantee security and sovereignty of data exchange.
The exponential increase in renewable energy generation plants and energy storage systems (especially wind, photovoltaic and home storage systems) as well as flexible energy consumers (especially heat pumps and electric vehicles) requires a particularly powerful, cross-sector data ecosystem in order to achieve energy and climate protection goals. The energy data-X consortium is setting up this prototype for all market partners in the energy sector and related sectors, thereby enabling an increase in innovation and competitiveness through secure, self-determined and standardised exchange of data.
In a first step, the social added value will be demonstrated using two use cases that are critical to the success of the energy transition: cross-sectoral flexibility development and optimisation of balancing group management quality.
